About Us

 

SoccerVolleyBall (SVB) is a fun, fast action, challenging precision touch game.  It can be played indoors or outdoors.  SVB utilizes the skills of Soccer combined with the challenge of playing over a net.  All ages and skill levels can play SoccerVolleyBall.  The game is an excellent training aid for preparing for other sports.  Equipment can be adjusted to allow for beginner or special needs players.


On the backyard Volleyball court of George Benson’s home on Enterprise Lake in Wisconsin, Benson watched his teenage grandchildren volley a ball over the Volleyball net using their Soccer skills.  These long-time Soccer players were having a blast.  The fast action game inspired Benson to formalize it into a sport.   After two years of trial and research, SoccerVolleyBall was formed and court layout and net height were defined.   A ball manufacturer began working with SoccerVolleyBall to design a SVB ball.  The ball design allows for the nuances of this unique sport and invokes the ultimate test of skill. 

 

In the summer of 2007, SVB games began.  Winter brought the fun and challenge of the sport indoors to indoor Soccer arenas, Volleyball centers and school gymnasiums.  The SoccerVolleyBall Association formed, and the process began to organize leagues and promote SoccerVolleyBall throughout the United States.
